The Alexandra Bridge sits atop the mighty Fraser River. Now disused, it was once an important crossing on the highway north. The location of the bridge has been used as a crossing point for thousands of years. The current bridge was built in 1926, on the same site as the Cariboo Wagon Road bridge (1863).

This grand bridge offers great views of the Fraser River. The short walk down to the bridge is downhill and also crosses an active railway line (be very careful). The walk across the bridge may not be for everyone - you can see the river below through the metal slats! On the other side, look for remnants of the old Cariboo Wagon Road.

There are picnic tables in the parking area next to Highway 1.
