HOW TO: Keep your hair safe in Bali

Invest in a Shower Filter

Bali, Indonesia

One thing nobody warns you about before Bali is how BRUTAL the water is on your hair.
It’s hard, mineral-heavy and full of stuff your scalp is not used to — and if you’ve ever lightened, highlighted or toned your hair, you’ll notice it almost immediately.

Dryness, brassiness, breakage, weird frizz that doesn’t normally exist… all of it starts showing up within weeks.

The easiest way to protect yourself from this is buying a shower filter before you arrive. I always recommend ordering one from Amazon before you fly.

Most villas, hotels and apartments have shower heads you can unscrew and attach a filter to in seconds!

It’s a small thing that makes a huge difference. The right filter keeps your colour brighter, your hair softer, and saves you from spending half your Bali trip trying to undo damage that never needed to happen in the first place.
