Oval Beach is one of the top ranked beaches in the country. There are many ways to get there: walk a half mile down Perryman street (free), Ride the chain ferry across the river from downtown ($3 each way) and walk down Perryman street, call the interurban bus for a $1 ride each way, climb the steps at Mt Baldhead and walk down the dunes (free). Parking at the beach is $15/day and fills up fast!
