This mountain trail hikes up the mountain next to the Morteratsch glacier, leading to the Boval mountain hut. As you ascend, you get an evermore spectacular view of the glacier ice.

The trail is about 2 hours each way. So you could do it as a day hike, eating lunch at the hut and returning the way you came.

For a special experience, you could stay overnight and enjoy the evening alpine glow spread over the glacier (reserve far in advance). We stayed here when our boys were 9 and 12 and it was a perfect fit for our family.
