On the east side of Lake Geneva, the boat travels between Lausanne, Montreux, Vevey as well as many small lakeside villages like Lutry, Cully, St Saphorin, and Chillon Castle.

Timetable

The boats run year round, but schedule is quite limited, particularly on weekdays and outside summer season (July-Aug). Plus the boats don't always stop at every village. So consult the timetable carefully as you make plans.

See the boat schedule: CGN website.

You can also check the schedule on SBB. Make sure to click Settings > Means of Transport. Then deselect all options except Ship.

💡TIP: If you are traveling from a tiny village like Lutry or Cully, you made need to take a short train to Lausanne first, then get on the boat. Boats depart more regularly from Lausanne.

Tickets

The boat is free with the Swiss Travel Pass, Saver Day Pass, and GA. Discount with Swiss Half Fare Card, Eurail, and Interrail.

You can buy tickets on SBB, CGN website, or ticket offices at the ferry docks. If there is no ticket office, you can usually buy on the boat but verify before boarding.

Stop names

Here are a few of the popular stops on this route and their exact names so you can check the schedule on SBB.
