A Local's Guide to The Canadian Rockies

We’re fortunate to call Canmore home and share our expertise with our readers. We've been offering information for free for years now on The Banff Blog thanks to advertisers. However, we wanted to offer our readers an opportunity to gain access to our information free of ads and in a convenient app that makes travel planning easy. As two locals with a decade of experience travel writing we provide in-depth information advice that branches away from standard social media locations.

This map of the Canadian Rockies was a game changer for us. We just used it for our trip and it was packed with insider tips on less popular hiking trails, scenic drives with viewpoints, and some hidden gems. Wouldn't have known about some spots without it! Really it made planning super easy, but also allowed us to take a more care free approach as we could just find viewpoints as we were driving. Highly recommend!

I really like that everything that could be suggested is in the website. From hikes to dining it’s a great way to see what’s out in Banff. The layout is very user friendly

We have been writing about travel for the last decade, and when we traveled to Western Canada in 2017, we found one of the world’s most beautiful places: The Canadian Rockies. We searched hard and eventually realized we couldn’t find a better place to settle down than the stunning mountain range.

Now, we spend as much time exploring the mountains surrounding us as possible. Whether biking and hiking in the summer or snowboarding and cross-country skiing in the winter, we are obsessed with exploring these mountains and want to make it easier for you to explore.

Western Canada is the perfect place for an outdoor vacation, and our main goal is to help you get the most out of your trip to the region. On this website, you’ll find plenty of things to do, hiking suggestions, restaurant recommendations, important information, and example itineraries to help you plan a trip easily.
