The Tissamaharama Stupa is a massive Buddhist stupa located in the Southern region of Sri Lanka. Standing at 156 feet tall and with a circumference of 550 feet, it's a sight to behold! Legend has it that King Kawan Tissa sought guidance from Arhant Gothama Thera while constructing this stupa to commemorate Buddha's visit to the area. The stupa has a unique 'Bubble Shape' and is believed to enshrine relics of Buddha, including the frontal bone relic. Over the years, the stupa has undergone restoration work, ensuring its preservation for future generations to admire and appreciate.
