Lago Federa is another beautiful and less famous place to visit in Italian Dolomites.

Hike description Hike is actually a part of circular loop Croda do Lago. This whole hike takes 7-8 hours to complete. If you are short on time you can simply hike up to the lake and return back. This will take you 2-3 hours. The path is pretty straightforward, just follow the signs. We recommend downloading maps.me for easier orientation.

When to visit Lago Federa is definitely worth visiting any time of the year. Summer is the peak season though. In fall you can avoid the crowds. You will also be rewarded by unbelievable orange colors of the trees.

Parking You can park your car around this area HERE. If you are visiting the lake in summer, come early on the morning. Otherwise you might not be able to find a free space.

Facilities On the trail itself there's no food or water available. You can only get your snack at the lake.
