Monte Tamaro is the highest mountain of the Lugano Prealps. This results in some of the best views you can get in the canton of Ticino. To reach the amazing panorama, you can take the cable car (see link below) from Rivera up to Alpe Foppa. From there it's a little hike to the top. We highly recommend you to stay in the mountain hut for the night: It offers great food and drinks and the sunsets, but also the sunrises are breathtaking from up there.
