Plaza del Altozano is a public space located in the Triana neighborhood of Seville, close to the Guadalquivir river. This historical plaza has seen quite some changes since it's inception back in the medieval era - most recently having undergone a significant elevation in 1845 when the current Triana bridge was built. Popular attractions here include the Farmacia Murillo built in 1912 by regionalist architect Jose Espiau, the Juan Belmonte statue from 1972 and the sculpture dedicated to Flamenco from 1994. Additionally, the Plaza del Altozanis contains the modern Triana market built in 2001, an old Gothic-Mudejar style parish called Santa Ana (built in the late 13th century) and the Capilla de los Marineros. It's a fun and coastal space full of unique architecture and history!
