Aníbal González Álvarez-Ossorio was a Spanish architect who left an indelible mark on Seville and Madrid. Born in Seville, he graduated from La Escuela Superior de Arquitectura in 1902. He was known for his eclectic style ranging from Art Deco to regionalism and for creating the magnificent Plaza de España complex at the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Aníbal saw his work as a way of beautifying and enriching Spain and aimed to create works that are still being admired today.
