Eagle Lake is a gorgeous alpine lake in Lake Tahoe’s Desolation Wilderness. The trailhead is right across from Emerald Bay State Park in South Lake Tahoe. The hike is about 2 miles out and back and pretty easy. Early on, you’ll hit Upper Eagle Falls, which is definitely worth a stop. After checking out the falls, cross the bridge and keep going for around 20 minutes, and you’ll reach Eagle Lake.
