If you’re looking for the ultimate spot to see fall colors in Lake Tahoe, North Canyon Road at Spooner Lake is the place to be. By mid-October, the trail is lined with orange and yellow aspens, making it photogenic from every angle.

It’s a short walk from the Spooner Lake State Park parking lot to the start of North Canyon Road. The road itself is easy and flat, and it’s also a popular spot for mountain biking.

Note: Spooner Lake State Park has a $10 per vehicle entrance fee ($15 for out-of-state plates).
