Secret Harbor Beach is one of the more tucked-away spots on Lake Tahoe’s east shore, accessible from Nevada Route 28. It features crystal-clear water and a nice, open stretch of sand, making it perfect for swimming. There are also plenty of boulders to swim up to and relax on.

To reach it, follow the East Shore Forest Trail and continue about 10–15 minutes past Secret Cove. Other trails lead here as well, so it’s helpful to have Google Maps pulled up. The beach itself isn’t listed on AllTrails, but the Secret Cove Trail is—just follow it past Secret Cove, and it will take you there.

If you keep going past Secret Harbor, you’ll find a few smaller coves known by locals. Some are clothing-optional, so be aware.

Tip: Visit on a low-wind day for smooth, glassy lake views.
