Lauterbrunnen is a stunningly beautiful valley located in the Swiss Alps, characterised by its soaring rock faces, majestic mountain peaks, and serene alpine meadows. Home to 72 thundering waterfalls, of which the most famous being the Staubbach Falls, it boasts a plethora of incredible activities year-round, from skiing during winter to exploring picturesque mountain villages like Isenfluh in summer. For a breathtaking view, take the cable car to the peak of Schilthorn at 2971m, where you can admire sweeping views of the Swiss Alps and even visit the locations used to film On Her Majesty's Secret Service! Lauterbrunnen is, without doubt, an ideal destination for nature lovers and amongst the best places to discover the beauty and magic of Switzerland.

**The Lauterbrunnen Valley **

Make sure to visit the famous Staubbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen. There are over 70 waterfalls in the valley, but this is the most famous waterfall. It is easy to see why, with the water falling about 300 meters into the valley.

Staubbach Falls When you arrive by train to Lauterbrunnen you will see Staubbach Falls in the distance. There are many beautiful photo spots and the tourist office even provides a map with the most famous photo points. The most famous photo point is located here, just a short walk from the train station. You can also stop at the Tourist office and they will give you a map of photo spots in Lauterbrunnen.

**I would highly recommend taking a bike ride through the Lauterbrunnen Valley. **You can easily rent bikes downtown, they will provide you with helmets, and your choice of an electric or normal bicycle. The bike paths are marked throughout the Valley and the views are breathtaking.

Trümmelbachfälle is a short bus ride (or bike ride) from Lauterbrunnen if you want to visit a spectacular Glacier waterfall. The Trümmelbach glacier waterfalls are open in July and August from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ticket price. CHF 14 Adult
