You've got to see the magic of Lake Mckenzie, or Boorangoora as the Butchulla people know it. It's a special kind of lake, filled only with pure rainwater, which is why the water is so incredibly clear and takes on the most stunning blue and green hues. The sand here is pure white silica, beautifully soft underfoot and perfect for relaxing on after a swim. From the car park, it's just a short, easy stroll of about 2 minutes down to the water's edge, where you can spend hours just soaking it all in.
