Just off the coast of Moreton Island, you'll find one of our most unique underwater treasures, the Tangalooma Wrecks. It's a collection of fifteen ships intentionally sunk to create a stunning artificial reef, and the result is a snorkeler's paradise teeming with vibrant fish and coral. You can swim out from the beach, which is about a 20-minute walk from the ferry landing, but be mindful of the strong currents; joining a guided boat tour is often the easiest way to experience the magic right at the heart of the wrecks.
