The area of the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an Italian place absolutely to be seen at least once in a lifetime.

There is only one road that leads to the Three Peaks of Lavaredo, so you can't go wrong. To get to the car park you have to take a toll road. The cost of the toll road is around 30€ (this may vary on the size of your vehicle ex: for Campervans) For more information you can visit the official website.

Once you arrived at the parking lot, you'll have different hiking options. Stay on the CAI trail 104 trail, a very well marked trail, easy to walk on and almost entirely without excessive elevation gain, suitable for everyone .There are a few sections that are a bit steeper but trust me, it will be all worth it in the end. I would recommend heading to the Dreizinnenhūtte since it will offer you the best views of the Three Peaks. Depdning on your fitness level it will take you around 1,5 - 2 hours to reach the hut.

I personally think the Three Peaks look best at sunrise since you get the direct sunlight on the mountain for that lovely Alpenglow. You could either hike early in the morning (I've done this multiple times and even though it mean to wake up super early, it was soo worth it) or the other option is to stay overnight in the Dreizinnenhūtte

Some other spots that are close to the Three Peaks are the Laghi dei Piani and the Valley of Altensteintal

Sunset can be very beautiful as well but I would reccomend looking into the Cadini di Misurina for sunset.
