If you’re heading to Kanazawa, you’ll want to stay somewhere that makes exploring easy.

Kenrokumachi is one of the best spots. It’s super close to Kenroku-en Garden and Kanazawa Castle, so you can wander over in the morning before the crowds roll in.

It’s a quiet, local area but still central, and you’ll find some beautiful ryokans and boutique hotels.

If you love a historic vibe, stay near Higashi Chaya District, or if convenience is key, Kanazawa Station is a great base.

No matter where you stay, Kanazawa’s mix of culture, history, and food will totally win you over!

Entrance fee: 320 yen for adults, 100 yen for kids between 6-17 years. Free for people over 65 with ID.

Hours: 7 am – 6 pm between March and September, 8 am – 5 pm between October and February
