Nishinomaru Garden is a bit of a hidden gem. While most people head to the main grounds of Osaka Castle, snap a photo, and move on, if you pop this spot into Google Maps, you’ll end up on the edge of a beautiful pond with the castle reflected in the surface.

A beautiful blend of traditional Japanese elements, with koi ponds, stone paths, and perfectly manicured trees. It’s especially magical during cherry blossom season or autumn.

  • Entry is around 200 yen

  • Open daily from 9:00am to 5:00pm

  • Located inside Osaka Castle Park, accessible by train to Osaka Castle Park Station

If you’re looking for a quiet spot to relax or snap that perfect photo of Osaka Castle, Nishinomaru Garden is a peaceful and picturesque escape just a short walk from the main attractions.
