Kabukicho is Tokyo’s wild side, the buzzing entertainment district in Shinjuku that’s alive 24/7.

It’s packed with bright neon lights, quirky bars, karaoke joints, and endless restaurants. But let’s be real, it’s not everyone’s vibe.

Kabukicho is chaotic, and a little gritty, something we actually liked amongst all the conformity in Japan. It’s also where you’ll find Golden Gai, a maze of tiny alleyways lined with over 200 snug bars, each with its own unique vibe.

One minute, you’re stumbling on a robot show, and the next, you’re squeezing into a bar that fits just a handful of people.

In my personal opinion, Kabukicho is an unmissable little spot.
