This cozy and colorful Chinatown is one of Japan’s most charming, perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll.

Open daily from around 10 AM to 9 PM, it's packed with flavorful sights and smells without any entry fee. Here are a few must-try eats:

  • Pork-filled xiao long bao – juicy little soup dumplings you can watch being made fresh

  • Sweet and savory hash browns – crispy on the outside, fluffy inside

  • Kobe-style beef bao – for that halal-friendly wagyu twist, if available

The best time to wander through is late afternoon to early evening, when lanterns glow, the crowds settle in, and the food stalls fire up for dinner. It’s just a 10-minute walk from Meriken Park, perfect for sunset.
