Tikal Temple II, also known as the Temple of the Masks, is a Mesoamerican pyramid located in Guatemala. Built in the Late Classic Period, it stands opposite Temple I on the west side of the Great Plaza. Constructed by King Jasaw Chan Kʼawiil I to honor his wife, Lady Lahan Unen Moʼ, the temple features a unique wooden lintel with a portrait of a royal woman. Despite being heavily visited by tourists, Temple II remains a stabilized ruin, showcasing its impressive architecture and historical significance within the Tikal archaeological site.
