The Serpent Bicephalic Temple, located in Tikal, Petén, is known as the tallest temple in America. Built around 741 AD, this impressive structure stands at about 70 meters high and is filled with intricate carvings depicting the life of Yik’in Chan Ka’wil, a Mayan ruler. The temple is set apart from the main plaza, showcasing stunning views of the surrounding ruins. It's a must-see for anyone exploring the ancient wonders of Tikal!

FYI - you probably recognize this spot as "rebel base" in the original Star Wars movie, A New Hope! :)
