Smart Travel Tips

  • Don’t try to cross the island too much + Skip far north (Formentor) without a car

  • Car rental is the best way to get around and reach further gems (after personal experience)

  • A taxi is sometimes worth it for flexibility

  • April water = cold, swimmable and fresh

Transport (Without A Car)

  • Base yourself around Palma de Mallorca for the easiest connections

  • Use TIB buses for longer routes (Deià, Sóller)

  • In Ibiza, buses work but are less frequent → taxis are sometimes easier

  • Always carry €20–50 cash (backup for buses/taxis)

Coastal Hikes & Exploration

  • Best hike: Deià → Llucalcari coastline

  • Easy scenic walk: Cap Gros Lighthouse from Port de Sóller

  • Ibiza: walk between coves around Cala Comte

Beaches & Swimming

  • Most gems and turquoise calas are rocky or semi-rocky, so come prepared

  • Sandy beaches are few and can get jammed

Food & Chill

  • Eat near:

    • Palma Old Town

    • Sóller square

    • Ibiza port

  • Lunch = relaxed, don’t rush

  • Carry snacks on hike days
