Perched on a sheer cliff, Bled Castle offers what are easily the most breathtaking views of Lake Bled and its iconic island. You can earn that panorama with a steep, but rewarding, 15-minute walk up from the lake, or simply drive up to the car park near the entrance. Inside the oldest castle in Slovenia, you'll find a museum detailing the area's history, a replica of Gutenberg's printing press, and a lovely restaurant. The real prize, though, is stepping out onto the terraces and soaking in that unforgettable view. A visit costs around €19 for adults, but the scenery is priceless.
