You'll feel the power of Skógafoss long before you get soaked by its spray. This immense curtain of water is just a short, flat walk from the car park, making it incredibly easy to get up close. For a different perspective, you can brave the steep, 500-plus-step staircase to the viewing platform at the very top. This is also the starting point for the stunning Waterfall Way hiking trail, where even a short walk reveals more beautiful cascades along the Skógá River.
