A Lapland Hike to Bear's Pond. Nestled within the wild beauty of Pyhä-Luosto National Park, this spot is a true local treasure. Your journey to Karhunjuomalampi, or "Bear's Drinking Pond," is a rewarding 10km loop trail that takes you through some of the most stunning scenery in Lapland. You'll traverse Finland's deepest gorge, Isokuru, a truly dramatic landscape of rocky cliffs and serene ponds. The trail itself is a mix of easy gravel paths and more challenging sections with long, steep staircases, but the views from the top are more than worth the effort. Once you arrive at the pond, you'll find a peaceful day-use hut and several campfire shelters, perfect for a well-deserved break amidst the ancient forests before you complete your circuit.
