Church of Saint John of Caselles
Historic
Directions

Just off the main road in Canillo, you'll find this absolute gem of a Romanesque church, one of the best-preserved in Andorra. Dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, Sant Joan de Caselles is a perfect stop to soak in some local history. You can park right beside it and admire the classic stone bell tower against the mountain backdrop. While the inside isn't always open, it houses a remarkable 12th-century stucco figure of Christ and a stunning 16th-century altarpiece, making it a truly special and peaceful visit.
