Malibu Creek State Park has served as one of Southern California’s most versatile outdoor filming locations for decades. The park’s rugged landscapes, rock formations, and open valleys have been used to portray everything from prehistoric worlds to alien planets. It is perhaps best known as the filming location for the television series MASH*.

Selected Film & Television Appearances

• Planet of the Apes (1968) • Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969) • MASH* (1972–1983) • Numerous westerns and science-fiction productions
