Haaga Rhododendron Park is one of Helsinki’s most beautiful seasonal nature spots.

Tucked away in a residential area, this peaceful park is home to a large collection of rhododendrons and azaleas that bloom in late spring and early summer. When in bloom, the park is full of color and feels almost magical, especially considering how close it is to the city center.

The park is free to visit and easy to explore on foot, with small paths winding through the forest-like area.

The best time to visit is late May to early June, when the flowers are at their peak. Outside of bloom season, the park is still nice for a short walk, but the flowers are definitely the main highlight. Blooming time varies slightly each year depending on the weather, so it’s best to check the timing if you’re visiting in spring.
