The Pioneer Register in Capitol Reef National Park is a cool spot where pioneers and explorers left their signature on the canyon wall when they were passing through nearly 200 years ago. It's like a historical log of all the people who passed through the area. Remember, it's illegal to deface any canyon wall or historic site, so just enjoy the view and take some photos instead -- you'll be on camera the entire time, too.
This is a very easy hike and stop if you're hiking in Capitol Gorge or to the Water Tanks. You'll follow the dry wash the entire time. See my track on Gaia to the Water Tanks and you'll also find exact coordinates of nearby petroglyphs, too.
