Hello Mallory

Walnut Canyon National Monument in Arizona is a unique stop in Flagstaff where you can check out ancient cliff dwellings built by Indigenous Peoples. The park preserves this historical landscape and offers a one-mile Island Trail that takes you up close to 25 cliff dwellings. It's like stepping back in time and exploring the homes of people who lived in the canyon ages ago. So, if you're into history and awesome views, Walnut Canyon is definitely worth a visit! If you're unable to hike the Island Trail, there is also a trail along the Rim to view dwellings afar.

Dogs ARE permitted on the Rim Trail, however NOT permitted on the Island Trail.

Entrance Fee = $25 or FREE if you have the America the Beautiful Interagency Pass.
