Hello Emilie

The Cape Byron Light, also known as the Byron Bay Lighthouse, is an active heritage-listed lighthouse in the small town of Byron Bay in New South Wales, Australia. This iconic landmark has been guiding and protecting mariners since 1901, when its construction was completed. At 23 metres high and with a light intensity of 2 200 000 candelas, it is Australia's most powerful lighthouse. The site is also rich in local history, stretching back to the Bundjalung people who revered the area for thousands of years. Not only does the site offer incredible views of the nearby coastline, but its interpretative centre, maritime museum, administration office, retail building, accommodation, and other attractions make it a fascinating tourist destination.
