Mount Augustus, located in Western Australia's Mount Augustus National Park, is a massive inselberg that rises 1,106 meters above sea level. Often touted as the "world's largest monolith" in tourist brochures, it's actually an asymmetrical anticline with a rich geological history dating back millions of years. The area is sacred to the local Wadjari people, who call it Burringurrah. With diverse flora and fauna, including wattles, cassias, emus, and red kangaroos, Mount Augustus offers stunning views and challenging hiking trails for adventurous visitors.
