Prepare for a breathtaking reward after a challenging but truly unforgettable hike to Garibaldi Lake. The trail starts with a steady, demanding climb through a beautiful forest for about the first 6 kilometers, a section of switchbacks that will test your legs. Once you push through, the path levels out, and you'll soon be greeted by the stunning, turquoise-colored water of the lake, set against a backdrop of dramatic glaciers and snow-capped peaks. The entire round-trip hike is about 18 kilometers (11 miles) and takes most people between 5 to 7 hours, so be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for the journey.
