Dublin Mountains Way starting point

Directions

Get ready for a proper Dublin adventure on the Dublin Mountains Way, a 42-kilometre trail that takes you from the suburbs right into the heart of the hills overlooking the city. You'll journey through quiet forests, across open moorland, and past ancient tombs, with incredible views of Dublin Bay opening up as you climb. The highest point at Fairy Castle on Two Rock Mountain is a real highlight, offering a stunning panorama that makes the effort worthwhile. While you can tackle it in one very long day, many locals break it up into more manageable sections to really soak it all in. We did it in 3-days (not back to back) and finished each day at a different pub - a very worthwhile reward for the trekking!
