Perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Lough Swilly, Fort Dunree is a must-see. You can feel the history as you wander through the old military buildings and museum, which tells the story of the fort's coastal defence role. The real highlight, though, is the stunning scenery. There are several walking trails right from the site, ranging from a gentle cliffwalk to a more strenuous hike, all offering incredible panoramic views.
