Welcome to Glenveagh, a truly spectacular bit of Donegal. The real magic here is the journey on foot to the castle; it’s a gorgeous 40-minute walk along the shores of Lough Veagh, with the Derryveagh Mountains creating a stunning backdrop. Once you arrive, you're rewarded with the beautiful castle and its surprisingly lush gardens, a real contrast to the wild landscape around you. While admission to the park is free, you can also hop on a shuttle bus to the castle if you're not up for the walk.
