There are multiple spots to view the Northern Lights but the Murphy Dome is one of the most accessible and easy reachable places.

I have tried another spot, Cleary Summit Overlook, but it's a hotel are and needs reservations in advance. You can't just go and park there.

There is a parking place there, but in general the experience on the Murphy Dome is more pleasant.

Please, keep in mind the Aurora lights are not so bright in real life and it really needs to be completely dark and the camera sees the lights better than our eyes.
