The Mars Light Speed Planet Walk is a unique outdoor exhibit located in Alaska that offers visitors an engaging way to learn about the solar system. It features a scale model of the planets, spaced out to reflect their distances from one another, allowing people to grasp just how vast space really is. As you stroll along the path, you can see representations of each planet, including Mars, and get a sense of the time it takes for light to travel between them. The walk combines education with a bit of exercise, making it a fun outing for families and space enthusiasts alike. Plus, the beautiful Alaskan scenery adds to the experience, creating a perfect backdrop for exploring our cosmic neighborhood.

The whole hike will take you about 5-6 hours. You don't need to do the whole hike, just a short walk on the shore is enough.
