It is recommended not to pack a full suitcase for the round trip. Instead, travel with a smaller bag and leave the main luggage behind. This makes travelling much easier, especially with boat transfers and horse carts on Gili Trawangan.
When arriving at the airport in Bali, the process is as follows. First, go through passport control. Then purchase a Visa on Arrival for 500,000 IDR before continuing through automatic immigration control. After that, collect your luggage.
Once baggage is collected, a customs declaration form must be completed before exiting the airport. Computers are available at the airport for this process.

It is important to download both Grab and Gojek before arrival, as these are the main transport and delivery apps in Bali.
A local SIM card will be arranged upon arrival for easy connection throughout the trip.
