Manuel Antonio is one of the most popular National Parks in Costa Rica and has a huge diversity for its size. The National Park opens at 7 am, and we recommend you go in the morning because it can get quite busy in the afternoon.

The entrance fee is 16 USD per person, and you can pre-book your ticket and choose a visit time. We recommend taking one of the first time slots in the morning. The Nationalpark offers super easy walking trails. You can hire a guide for an additional cost which will help you spot a lot more wildlife, especially when you want to learn something about flora and fauna; a guide is precious. We recommend Naturaleza Pura Vida.

You can see many species here, like white face monkeys, sloths, and parrots. There are two beautiful beaches in the National Park where you can swim, so don’t forget to bring your swimwear. The park closes before sunset at 3 pm, so if you like to watch the sunset at the beach, head to Playa Espadilla in Manuel Antonio after leaving the National Park.
