Orangerie Neukölln
Tucked into the western edge of Körnerpark, Orangerie Neukölln is a neobaroque pavilion that today functions as a municipal gallery, café, and intimate event space. Originally designed by Reinhold Kiehl and completed by 1916, it once sheltered citrus trees through Berlin’s winters; since 1983 it has hosted the “Galerie im Körnerpark” alongside a light-filled tearoom.
What to See & Do
Galerie im Körnerpark: Rotating exhibitions of contemporary art by local and international artists, often transforming the six-meter-high hall into an immersive arena for painting, sculpture, and multimedia works.
Café & Terrace: Seasonal café service—homemade cakes, sandwiches, and specialty coffees—enjoyed beneath the Orangerie’s tall arched windows or on the adjacent terrace overlooking the park’s central fountain.
Event Nights: From chamber music recitals to poetry readings and small-group workshops, the Orangerie’s atmospheric interior is available for cultural programs and private bookings (10+ guests).
