Lauttasaari Outdoor Park is a great place in Helsinki for a focused landscape and wildlife photography walk, no matter the season. With open seaside views, rocky shores, and coastal paths, it offers some of the best coastal scenery in the city.

During summer, swans and seabirds move along the shoreline under long evening light, making it ideal for wide landscape compositions. In winter, especially in January, the area can become truly special. On extremely cold days, when temperatures drop below –20°C, sea fog often rises from the water, creating dramatic sunrise and sunset scenes.

Lauttasaari works year-round, and there is almost always something worth photographing—whether it is the light, the weather, or the birds.
