Bremer Bay
Remote beach town with epic coastline and orcas

Bremer Bay is small and remote, which means the coastline is epic! White sand, turquoise water, and great hikes.

And every year, Bremer Bay Canyon becomes the hub of the largest congregation of orcas in the southern hemisphere! You can see them from January to April with a tour (we did this one, 100% recommend!).

It's a bit of a long drive though (5.5 hours from Perth) and there are heaps of things to do, so we recommend staying 3-4 days minimum to make it worthwhile.

Apart from seeing orcas, there are other things to do there too:

  • Check out beaches like Blossoms Beach or Back Beach

  • Good fishing and 4WD beach access if you're set up for it

  • Heaps of space to camp or chill without crowds

  • Gateway to Fitzgerald River National Park, great for hiking and wildflowers

Good to know:

  • Orca tours are $$$ but worth it, book early, they fill fast!

  • Very limited reception once you leave town

  • Small IGA, bakery, and fuel in town so do a big shop if staying a while
