Despite being right next to Doi Inthanon National Park, Mae Ya Waterfall is a lot less visited. When we went there were only a few Thai tourists, despite it being midday. It's the second tallest waterfall in Thailand and it's absolutely breathtaking. My jaw literally dropped to the ground when I saw it! It's SO huge!

GET HERE:

You will need to leave the actual Doi Inthanon National Park, drive down to the closest town and then drive up the mountain again on a separate road leading to this waterfall. It's a bit of an extra journey, but trust me, it's worth it.

Due to it being quite a bit away from the rest of the national park attractions however, I recommend going to Mae Ya Waterfall either before you head to Doi Inthanon National Park, or on your way back to Chiang Mai.

ENTRY FEE: free if you have a Doi Inthanon National Park ticket, otherwise 300 baht. (That is why we went to Mae Ya Waterfall last before heading back to Chiang Mai, so we would have the national park ticket).
