You can never be completely sure about the weather, you might not catch the ferry you had planned - then it's best to take things in stride.The best way to travel is to take your house with you. Maybe you have a tent lying around, or maybe you can rent a camper. This gives you the freedom to take your time in places you might like. Helgeland is not overbuilt or full of tourists, so you will always find a place to pitch a tent or leave your car.
