This was definitely my favorite stop in Kiama. Visiting Cathedral Rocks and Cave feels like stepping into a natural masterpiece. When I first went, I was a bit confused about how to get there, I parked on Cliff Drive and tried to walk around, but that didn’t work out. To save yourself some hassle, park at the beach carpark at the end of Moona Avenue. From there, it’s a short walk down the beach for about a hundred meters, and voilà, you’re there!

The sheer scale of the cathedral-like rock formations is absolutely breathtaking, with their towering spires and rugged textures creating an awe-inspiring backdrop. For the best views and photos, you’ll need to do a bit of rock scrambling, nothing too crazy, but be mindful of your footing and keep an eye on the tide and incoming waves. As you continue climbing, you’ll discover a little cave that adds an element of mystery and adventure, with its cool, dark interior providing a striking contrast to the bright sunlight outside. The intricate patterns and textures carved by the elements over time are mesmerizing, and the rhythmic crashing of the waves below creates a captivating soundtrack. The panoramic views of the coastline from the rocks are stunning, and don’t miss the pretty rock pools that add an extra touch of magic.
