The first-ever international football match took place on 30 November 1872 between Scotland and England at Hamilton Crescent in Glasgow. With 4,000 spectators in attendance, the game ended in a goalless draw. The Scottish team, mainly composed of Queen's Park players, showcased their teamwork and skill, while the English side featured players from nine different clubs.
